Test run complete – ready to hit the road!
T minus 8 hours: Final packing complete, full office simulation successful, test drive uneventful – ready to hit the road!
As we complete our final preparations, here are some things we did to hopefully make our travels and working experience more enjoyable:
- We have fully transformed the booth of the camper into a working office setup. This included removing the cushions and building in office chairs. We are also very excited about the extended rolling desk that we have where it can be used both while in the booth as pictured and also can bring it outside, raise it for standing, and move it to other parts of the camper!
- In order to upgrade our sleeping arrangements, we removed the RV’s back mattress and found a way to fit in one of our nicer queen mattresses from our house. It was a tight squeeze but we made it work! Along with the built-in cabinets, we also added some hanging storage from the walls. This freed up the over-cab bed and instead of sleeping there we are using that for shoes, towel, and coat storage.
- For the corgis, our PetSafe travel seats fit in perfectly to the RV’s couch. These strap into the seatbelts and the corgis love riding in them! We’ll plan to transfer them over to our SUV when not driving to utilize the couch. For dog owners interested in these, check them out here.
- Finally, we had to make sure we fit in our two most important appliances from our house – our espresso machine and our air fryer! We use our espresso machine every morning and are excited to be able to use it on the road instead of tracking down a coffee shop every day. We also think the air fryer will be the perfect RV cooking appliance since it is so versatile!
That’s it for now – we’ll find out soon enough if our preparations pay off!
We hope this helps you plan your next trip! Check out more of our outdoor adventures here.
Love it. Looks great. Be safe!
