Dog Friendly Deadwood, South Dakota
With a handful of dog friendly options and a neat historic Main Street to explore, Deadwood, South Dakota is a fun stop with your furry friends! Deadwood is all about attracting tourists and they have a great website to explore what they offer here.
Saloon #10
The most famous stop in town is Saloon #10. Not only is this a historic saloon but it is also one of the more dog friendly stops in Deadwood. Dogs are allowed inside on the 1st floor but only until 6:00pm. It wasn’t super busy during our visit and they didn’t ask us leave once 6:00 rolled around but we did leave by 6:30.
There is a restaurant inside Saloon #10 but it is a separate area upstairs and dogs are not allowed.
We were brought water and dogs treats during our visit and were very pleased with how dog friendly it was! There was live music playing during part of our visit but luckily it wasn’t too loud for the pups.
Other Dog Friendly Deadwood Options
Sick-N-Twisted Brewery taproom which allows dogs inside and offers a small food menu and a variety of beer sand wines.
Deadwood Distillery also allowed dogs inside and is a nice spot to try some moonshine and other drinks.
Deadwood is also famous for shoot-out re-enactments on Main Street throughout the week. If your dog dislikes loud noises you may want to look up the times this to avoid this area accordingly.
We always recommend you call ahead to these place to make sure they are still dog friendly before your trip. Throughout our travels we found that rules can change very often so it’s always best to call.
