What’s That Noise? RV Driving Report
Did that come from inside or outside the RV??
Well we did it – a few tense moments of RV driving here and there, but we managed to make our first 8 hour trek in the RV (towing a SUV) to the Badlands of South Dakota. We had to learn quickly how the RV felt while driving and also all the noises both inside and outside of the vehicle to listen for. Probably not the best choice to take off during the start of rush our traffic, but that made the rest of the trip seem easy!
One of the challenges with the type of trailer we’re towing with is that you essentially can’t back the RV up – this means you have to be very careful with where you pull into, always making sure you can pull through to exit. To help with this, we’ve planned all our main gas stops along our routes ahead of time. We found this Truckers Friend site to be helpful in doing this.
The Corgis loved relaxing in their car seats along the way and the RV kept things cruising pretty smoothly for them keeping steady with a cruise at 65!
We hope this helps you plan your next trip! Check out more of our outdoor adventures here.
