Dog Friendly Flagstaff, Arizona

Dog Friendly Flagstaff, Arizona

We found some great dog friendly options when visiting Flagstaff, Arizona. However, our initial research returned praises for the city being incredibly dog friendly but we did ran into quite a few places that have changed rules and dogs are no longer allowed. We are unsure if there was a city law change so just to be safe we recommend calling or messaging these spots first.

Be sure to call or message spots ahead of time to be sure their dog friendly status still applies.

Flagstaff Dog Friendly Breweries

For the brewery scene we like Wanderlust Brewing Company. Dogs allowed inside and on the patio. This was perfect as it was very cold and windy during our May visit so we were happy to go inside.

We also stopped at Dark Sky Brewing which has a small patio and very powerful heaters as the nights were very chilly in mid-May during our visit.

Flagstaff Dog Friendly Dining & Activities

Our favorite spot to eat is Diablo Burger as dogs were welcomed on the patio. The burgers were amazing!

Old Town Shops allows dogs inside their small shopping center. There are about 5 stores to browse including a candy store that sells some dog treats.

For hiking we did Fatman’s Loop Trail which had an entrance directly from our campsite at the KOA. This hike is quite the climb but provides plenty of shade. There are great views up on top and the trail is 2.4 miles round trip.

Flagstaff was mostly our home base to check out the Grand Canyon and Sedona areas so we didn’t spend a ton of time in the city itself. With highs of 50 and a wind advisory it was very cold during our late May visit but it appears this weather is not typical and generally is a bit warmer.
