Bryce Canyon National Park With Dogs

Bryce Canyon National Park With Dogs

Bryce Canyon National Park is another spot where dogs are not allowed in the majority of the park. There is one exception, a nice paved trail that takes you from Sunrise Point to Sunset Point.

Dogs are allowed to walk Bryce Canyon’s scenic Sunrise Point to Sunset Point Trail

Dogs are allowed on this path which is a little over one mile down and back. This whole trail winds around the natural amphitheater of Bryce Canyon with endless hoodoos, red rock formations, and layered rock views.

Another way to enjoy Bryce Canyon National Park with Dogs is to drive through the park and stop at many overlooks. Dogs can walk the paved areas at the overlooks and we recommend checking out Rainbow Point at the South end. The drive through the park is mostly wooded windy roads so you will not get a view of the canyon from the drive alone. Compared to other national parks such as Arches where you can see great views from the car, you’ll need to utilize the overlooks here instead.

After stopping at a majority of overlooks, the Sunrise Point to Sunset Point trail views were by far our favorite. Bonus points that dogs can also take in the views along with you!
